Task - Produce a video podcast (vodcast) tour of the Borambola Outdoor Ed Camp. You need to include a range of activities you took part in and the facilities (this includes dining area, cabins, free time areas, pool and creek/pond). Your vodcast needs to include the voice of each group member if you are working in groups.
You will complete the activity on one of the group member’s Macs and they will distribute copies of the podcast to the other group members. You will need to export a copy to your digital portfolio.
You may work individually or in groups of up to 3.
Below is an example of a storyboard template from Pages. You need to use one of these to plan your work. If you click on the media button at the top of Pages you will be able to access all of your photos and drag them and drop them into the storyboard squares. Your photos should be a snapshot of what is happening in that part of your movie.
Below the picture you will need to write your script. This is what you are going to say while that part of the movie is happening. It needs to be thorough, so make the font nice and small so it fits.
You will film your movies in photobooth using a green screen. That way, you can put pictures or movies, of the parts of camp you are talking about, behind you. When you have finished filming these, import the movies into iMovie and edit them together.
Good luck, this is our first project where we have used a variety of applications and all the teachers are looking forward to viewing them.
